The Department of Education (DepEd) Philippines officially launched the Minecraft: Education Edition (M:EE) Mobile via Microsoft Teams Live.

According to Grace Co, Microsoft Philippines’ Education Partners Manager, the Philippines is the first country to incorporate M:EE into its educational curriculum. Because it is included in their Office 365 account subscription, all learners and educators in PH can use the application for free.

“Minecraft Education Edition is being launched nationwide for public and private school teachers and learners for game-based learning and for the creation of better learning experience.”, said Alain Del B. Pascua, DepEd’s Undersecretary for Administration.

DepEd created the program in collaboration with Microsoft Philippines.

“Microsoft remained committed to supporting DepEd in preparing our teachers and students for future skills by making technology accessible to everyone.”, Joanna Rodriguez, Public Sector Director for Microsoft Philippines, stated.

Minecraft: Education Edition (M:EE) is only available for Android devices with at least Android 8 (Oreo), 1GB of storage for map and core files, and an active WiFi connection. For Android devices, you may download the app on the Google Play Store. If you are using a Huawei device that does not have Google Play Store installed, you can get the app from Aptoide.
