YouTube Video Page Redesign: Enhanced Content Discovery

Featured image for YouTube Video Page Redesign: Enhanced Content Discovery

YouTube is testing a new design for its video page with a select group of users. The update aims to enhance content discovery by revamping the layout.

The most noticeable change is in video recommendations. Instead of being on the sidebar, suggested videos now appear below the video player, spanning the full width of the page. This prominent placement is designed to help users find new content more easily.

The traditional layout of the video title, description, and comments remains but has been moved to a sidebar. This sidebar also includes the like, dislike, and subscription buttons, potentially offering a cleaner viewing experience.

It’s important to note that this redesign is still in the testing phase. YouTube is gathering user feedback to determine if the new design improves the overall experience.

If you want to try out the new design, head on over to the Test New Features page and turn on the feature.
