To increase the digital literacy of teachers and students in the Philippines, the Department of Education (DepEd) provided annual licenses to public schools for the Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) suite.

Adobe CC licenses are only available to students and instructors with valid DepEd email accounts and are not transferrable to personal Adobe accounts.

“DepEd must provide these licenses to our public schools because we are now in the creative development era. Anyone can be a content creator due to the simplification and adaptability of existing mobile devices where learning and design can blend as one,” said Undersecretary for Education Alain Del B. Pascua.

As part of the Digital Rise Program, webinars will be conducted by DepEd to help teachers improve their creativity in digital and multimedia arts by using varied and relevant tools and applications.

Pascua went on to say that DepEd is preparing students “to be globally inclined and encouraging them to use industry-standard software to give them greater opportunities of landing a job.’
