Many of us will surely be excited as Spotify will be rolling out one of the most requested feature in the app: downloading albums. The music streaming platform already has this feature on their mobile apps and is now extending this to your personal computers.

According to Spotify’s post, this feature alongside downloading podcasts is limited to Premium subscribers. Free users are only allowed to download podcasts.

Spotify has already allowed saving your music offline but only when they are added to playlists. Similar to downloading a playlist, users will just need to navigate to an artist’s album and clicking on the Download button.

Once you go into Offline mode, you should be seeing a green Download icon. The next time you’re offline, the music is saved and is ready for you anytime, anywhere.

Even though having the similar user interface layout, the feature is only available on the desktop app and not on the website player.

The update also includes tweaks to the layout of the desktop and web player. However, not all subscribers will be seeing these changes and will be rolling out to few users at a time.
